Nurse Practitioners and Pharmacists now have Minor Illness Clinics.  Please ask at reception for an appointment if your illness fits the criteria listed below.

Medical Conditions suitable for a Minor Illness Clinic Appointment:

The condition should be newly occurring / The condition should be less than two weeks in duration:

Sore throat

Coughs and colds

Sore/sticky eyes – conjunctivitis

Constipation

Bites and stings 

Back pain

Boils

Cystitis/urine infection

Ear pain or discharge

Eczema/dermatitis

Emergency contraception

Mouth ulcers

Hayfever

Infected toe/finger

Ingrowing toe nail

Nasal congestion

Rash

Retained tampon

Shingles

Thrush

Vaginal discharge/irritation

Fever/raised temperature

Gout

Athletes foot

Impetigo

Sinusitis

If you do not pay for your prescriptions and suffer from any of these conditions you can now obtain information and treatment from participating chemists. You do not need an appointment with your GP to access this service.
