We aim to allocate appointments to patients within 48 hours of request. Routine appointments may be booked up to 3 weeks ahead for mornings and evenings with a Doctor or Advanced Nurse Practitioner, where available
A number of appointments can be booked on the day by ringing the appointments line after 8.00 am or calling into the surgery at 8.00 am.
At very busy times we may be unable to offer you an appointment the same day, however, should it be an emergency, you will be put onto the triage list. A GP or ANP will call you and determine whether you need an emergency appointment, need an appointment later in the week, need advice or need a precription.
Please try to give up to a weeks notice for an appointment time of choice, with a Doctor of choice. Please note: Due to annual leave / sickness etc, it may not always be possible to have an appointment of choice.
Please note appointments are booked for 10 minutes. If you have complex problems or multiple problems, you may be asked to book another appointment. please note we cannot see accompanying family members in this time allocation: they need to book a separate appointment. Appointments for procedures such as injections are for the procedure alone and the clinician will not be able to discuss other problems in the allocated time.
It is important to attend your appointment on time and cancel any unwanted appointments. Patients who persistently fail to attend appointments will be removed from the practice list.
