CQC - Statement of Purpose

CQC

Statement of purpose: Statement of Purpose   Updated 30/7/18

Our Practice is regulated by CQC. The Care Quality Commission.  CQC is all about quality and safety of the service we provide with the Patient at the centre of everything we do. The Outcomes for those patients.

Quality = Consitency

 Benefits us all:

 It gives you a voice – you can suggest improvements which result in better quality and safety of the service we provide – these may be time saving ideas, as well as procedural improvements.

 The Standards apply to all Practices irrespective of size. So a Patient who visits a practice with 1 GP and 1,000 patients and then moves to another Practice with 8 GP’s and 8,000 patients should receive the same quality and standard of care.

 A Patient’s visit to the Practice is often the beginning of a course of treatment and we are at the start of that journey which may include – hospitals, care homes and dentists - all provider sets are now regulated by CQC.
